The Road, the van, the trouble...
We had an interesting outing this last trip out. We made our way up through OH, MI, and WI, then traveled down through Texas all the way to Houston. With a stop that didn't happen in IN and KS because of various reasons.
All the shows were great we just had a few off stage problems that caused trouble. First Jared got sick and was puking and such all night before we played a show in MI. We then canceled the next show and headed home for a few days to recover, jared having no voice. As we headed to Texas not only was Jared recovering from problems with his voice but I injured my back and Tommy was going on vacation and was going to miss these last two shows.
So with a half well singer, a bass player on drugs for back pain, and a fill in drummer that learned all the songs in one practice while we were home before heading out again, we headed off to Texas. The first show went great. Or at least I thought it did. I was pretty high on my pain killers so we could have really sucked...
On the way to the second show we started having a little van trouble and stopped in a small town for help. With a new spark plug we made it down to the next show and rocked with a great crowd down in Houston.
The next day we headed home and started having more van trouble. For the last 144 miles of the trip we had to stop every 10 miles to let our transmission cool down. It took us over five hours to go what should have taken us an Hour and a half. So with that being said we are at home, our van is in the shop, and we are hoping to have everything ready for the trip out to California. Hopefully God will bless with the money to cover the problems. It could be expensive. Keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
